What is Bispecific Antibody

Reported by Gemini Smith | March 26th, 2024 @ 06:46 PM

Interestingly, bispecific antibodies provide new functions not possible with monoclonal antibodies. These include the capacity to attract and stimulate immune cells, obstruct receptor signaling, and trigger protein complex interaction. Monoclonal antibodies are the source of bispecific antibodies, which are a more functional subclass of monoclonal antibodies. They have a number of benefits, including the ability to produce synergistic effects across several targets, increase the effectiveness of killing tumor cells, broaden the scope of therapeutic indications, lower drug dosage and hazardous side effects, and more.
